Position Purpose

He should be able to handle Civil QA QC Parts for EPC Power Project independently.

Dimensions

He should be able to work independently and capable of fast decision making / guide team of engineers Power projects simultaneously. Exposure to handling Indian and Overseas Customers.

Principal Accountabilities

Field Quality Assurance & Control aspects with a special focus on cost control and process innovation activity to reduce cost & Time.

Nature & Scope

He should be able to Coordination with Customer/ Contractors to maintain FQA requirements from End Customer meeting to specification requirements & deal with agencies. Also to establish, maintain & control civil QA Lab at site.

Educational Qualification

B. E. Civil from premiere college: 10 - 12 Years of experience in EPC Power Companies specific to EPC Constructions.

Experience

• Experience in Handling Main Plant Civil and Chimney Construction Quality Control
• Excavations, Earth work, Batching Plant, Foundations, Rafts, and Ready Mix concrete, Concreting, Buildings, and Roads etc.
• Desired experience in DE, NDEs applicable to Civil Construction which includes Tests like UPV, Hammer rebound test etc.
• QA QC experience in Steel Fabrication, Welding and erection related aspects
• Should have good knowledge in preparing & Reviewing of Work Procedure, Standard Operating procedures on Main Civil work
• Knowledge of applicable Codes and Standards like ASME, ASTM, NFPA, ASTM, IS, BS Codes etc.
• ISO 9001: Series Internal certification with appropriate Auditing skill is a mandatory
• Experience on Vendor Audit, vendor assessment Construction supply source Inspections
• Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills.

Specific Skills

• Finalizing the Field Quality Inspection Test Plan and Inspection &Test Procedures, Method Statements etc. for the Contractors.
• Coordinates with Customer and Follows-up with Contractors for Documents finalization and approval.
• Organize and Carry out Field Inspections as per agreed Field Quality plan/Check list/ Procedures/ Method Statements Codes and standards as specified in the Scope of Work in the Purchase order/Contract at various vendor places.
• Resolve of Deviations pertaining to NCR, Corrective action request, Site Deviation request, and field observation reports etc.
• General EHS aspects on Main Civil Construction
• Conduct site and vendor audits as per planned schedule on Project activities, identifying the quality issues and suggesting the corrective actions there on.
• Review manufacturers / contractors Quality System and Quality Plan to ensure that they meet the project requirements.
• Support in terms of Maintaining and Continually improving the Quality Management System ( QMS) to Corporate team, also guiding the Contractors on the same
• Coordination and Reporting to HQ,
• Hands on experience in Field Quality dossier.
