Position Purpose: | For monitoring and supervising IT infrastructure work |
Dimensions | - Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of windows 10 computer, servers (windows server 2016 & above), and VMware virtualization
- Good understanding on networking concepts (switches, routers, access points) etc.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
- Excellent troubleshooting skills on Outlook 365 & MS teams.
- Application installation, troubleshooting & license management of Autodesk, adobe, Bentley products.
- Should have work experience with different IT Infrastructure components such as Windows/ Linux Servers, Wintel Servers, networks, firewalls, routers, load balancers, LDAP, Oracle/MS SQL databases, SAN/NAS, Virtualization, Email systems, Enterprise monitoring and access management solutions for single sign on.
- Hands on experience in backup software and recovery including experience with Tape drives
- desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
- Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Access

Principal Accountabilities | Include but not limited to: - 5+ years of network administration & system administration experience.
- System administration and IT certifications in Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
- Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Experience with scripting and automation tools
- Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices.
- Identify and recommend technology best practices in the currently evolving environment & help stabilize the environment by applying industry standard best practices.

Nature & Scope | - Effectively lead and guide Incident triage calls from a technical perspective analysing different components of the infrastructure and application environments.
Influence other technical teams on the calls and articulate troubleshooting steps effectively. - Lead required technical follow-up calls for high profile incidents.
- Follow up on items that could potentially negatively impact production operations, assist with post-mortem related activities and support various efforts related to operational improvements.
- Based on recommendations from management, implement new and improved processes, change processes, perform new tasks, create reports and address ad-hoc requests.
- Ability to analyse different components of the infrastructure and application environments during Incident triage calls.
- Aptitude to influence other technical teams on the incident calls and articulate troubleshooting steps effectively.
- Experience and confidence working with all levels of management; excellent written and verbal skills.
- Able to quickly and concisely communicate with senior management on technical issues in non-technical terms and to run large conference calls during Incident calls with a wide range of personnel and management levels.
- Hands on experience with other ticketing tools is required
- Experience in IT Security or Auditing field is required
- Effective team player with strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in an organized fashion with attention to details
- Ability to interact with management and work across departmental lines to effectively
- Occasional travel to Project Sites for short duration
