Position Purpose

He should be able to handle EHS Parts for EPC Power Project at Sites independently. Expertise in drafting and implementing EHS specific Process are mandatory


He should be able to work independently and capable of fast decision making / guide team of engineers and erection contractors to handle project related activities pertaining to EHS for multiple Power projects simultaneously. Exposure to International projects and Experience in EPC companies in Oil and Gas sector shall be considered as added advantage.

Principal Accountabilities


The Senior Executive EHS supervises all aspects of safety, environmental control and loss prevention. He provides liaison with the HSE Manager in MHPS-IND.


-       Ensures that all MHPS-IND and subcontractor operations are carried out in a safe and environmentally controlled manner

-       Participates in preparing the site safety plan

-       Sees that the plan is kept up-to-date and reflects all site operations and environmental requirements

-       Reviews and approves subcontractor safety, environmental and loss prevention programs

-       Ensures that all MHPS-IND, government and client regulations are properly addressed and carried out

-       Arranges induction program stressing safety and environmental issues for all personnel at site

-       Organizes regular safety meetings attended by MHPS-IND, client and subcontractor representatives

-       Regularly inspects all MHPS-IND and subcontractor activities and operations to assure that these are carried out in a safe and environmentally controlled manner

-       Reports irregularities to the QMS Manager, Site Manager and line supervision and advises on corrective measures

-       Advises the QMS Manager, Site Manager to stop work which is not executed in a safe manner

-       Sees that proper reports are made to the QMS Manager, Site Manager and inputs safety and loss prevention data into the regular monthly report

He should be able to handle EHS related work Power and Construction Projects at office and site level based on the requirement from the Organization

Person Profile

Educational Qualification

Diploma in Industrial Safety from RLI/CLI or approved institute: 06-08 Years of experience in EPC- Project of Power, Oil & Gas is desired


06-08 Years in relevant field

Specific Skills

  • Knowledge of Indian safety, Industrial regulations
  • Certification on NEBOSH
  • Knowledge and Hands on experience of IMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001) system
  • Knowledge on contractual Safety Procedures and ability to draft/ align MHPS Process to Contract requirements
  • Knowledge on imparting Safety related trainings and Process drafting and Safety inductions
  • Capable of preparing all HSE related documents from mobilization to demobilization of the project including risk assessments/ HIRA and all HSE related reports
  • Must be trained on Fire safety, Emergency Response, Safe Driving, Working at height, working in Confined space, Electrical Safety etc.
  • Excellent skills in English and Hindi languages
  • Quick and effective adaptive nature to any change.
  • Support in terms of Maintaining and Continually improving the Quality Management System ( QMS) and EMS
  • Expertise in guiding the sites on Safety related compliances on routine and periodic requirements
