Job title

Quantity Surveyor

 

Job purpose

 

Civil Engineer having 5-10 Years of suitable experience in handling Quantity Survey, Estimation, Preparation of Bar Bending Schedule, Billing, etc. Power Project Construction.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

  • Prepare processed work, determining the needed quantities and prepare required reports as per Report Frequency List.
  • Conduct Quantity Surveying Process According to the technical standards.
  • Expert in surveying machine total station and Leica brand.
  • Responsible for study of BOQ (Bill of Quantity) as per specifications and taking out quantities from drawings.
  • Communicate with Engineering Department or Sub-agencies to changes and adjustments of quantities according to business needs.
  • Preparation and Certification of RA bills.
  • Identification and preparation of extra items.
  • Preparation of monthly reconciliation statement of all building material.
  • Responsible for verification of certified RA bills.
  • Preparing all billing records and marinating it. Proper entering of bills without errors
  • Preparing RA Bills for the Projects (Client and Sub Contractor bills) on Monthly basis.
  • Material Reconciliation: - To check theoretical consumption of steel, cement & other material supplied free of cost to the contractor and make recovery in case of excess Consumption & wastage

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor/Master of Engineering in Civil engineering from reputed college / Universities.
  • Extensive familiarity on Technical Civil / Structural and Quantity Surveying
  • Min. 5-10 years of Civil / Structural and Quantity Survey Scope of Works for Construction Projects.
  • Possess good knowledge & Experience of Construction Works.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Manage, supervise sub-agencies on site and advise on civil engineering issues.
  • Prepares engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans, and schedules.
  • Auto-Cad Proficiency.
  • MS Office, Working knowledge of the fundamental requirements of Civil / Structural Engineering and the Basic Requirements of other Engineering fields.
  • Conversant with International Codes and Standards
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work well with large and diverse team.
  • Experience in creating work breakdown structure (WBS)- translate requirements into tasks.
  • Excellent client –facing skills together with clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to comply with Quality Assurance Management Systems.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to support other projects.
